Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy*
(Applies only to all Uniqbe products, ie. Apple inc., Google, and SamSung items)
Definition of DOA
“Dead on Arrival” (DOA) refers to a product—typically an electronic device or appliance—that is found to be non-functional or defective immediately upon receipt. A DOA product is one that fails to operate right out of the box, before any meaningful use.
DOA Policy Terms
7-Day Eligibility Window
DOA claims must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the product. Eligible DOA items qualify for a one-to-one replacement after they are returned to our facility and inspected.
Shipping Responsibilities
For approved DOA cases, the buyer is responsible for the shipping cost when sending the defective item back to our facility. We will cover the shipping cost when sending the replacement item to the customer.
Ownership Transfer & Non-Use Requirement
Once a DOA claim is submitted, ownership of the affected item transfers back to Uniqbe. Customers must not use the device after the claim is filed. Evidence of use after submitting a DOA claim may result in the claim being rejected, as further use can cause additional damage.
Return Deadline & Proof of Shipment
DOA-claimed devices must be shipped back within 7 days of claim approval. Proof of shipment—such as a trackable airway bill number—must also be provided within this timeframe.
If exceptional circumstances prevent timely return, customers must inform Uniqbe for possible deadline extensions.
Condition of Returned Items
All DOA items must be returned in their original condition, including all accessories, packaging, and inserts. The device must not be used or altered in any way.
Rejection Upon Receipt
If a customer refuses a device upon delivery due to an alleged defect, they must not activate the software or operating system. If there is evidence that the device was activated or used despite claiming it was defective, the DOA replacement coverage may be voided and the claim may be denied.
